PagerDuty just made it all so elegant, and so many of us quickly migrated to it.\u00a0 And when it IPO&#8217;d, it was still solidly an SMB solution.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saastr.com\/5-interesting-learnings-from-pagerduty\/\">At IPO, at $125m ARR<\/a><\/span>, PagerDuty had 10,000 customers and only 200 at $100k+ ACV.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to today, and the world of DevOps has changed so, so much.\u00a0 As has PagerDuty.\u00a0 Today it&#8217;s a very enterprise solution, solving much bigger problems.\u00a0 And with a ton more competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$480,000,000 in ARR<\/li>\n<li>Growing ARR 10%, slightly up<\/li>\n<li>21% Non-GAAP Operating Margins<\/li>\n<li>107% NRR and<\/li>\n<li>0% net new customer growth.\u00a0 15,050 today, vs. 15,049 a year ago.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yields today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$1.7B market cap, so about 3.5x ARR.\u00a0 This includes $540m of cash though, so net of cash, that&#8217;s closer to 2.5x ARR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Today, PagerDuty today is a story of growth almost entirely fueled by strong NRR + its biggest customers.\u00a0 But they&#8217;ve doubled down on Free and the longest end of the tail, too, for future expansion.<\/p>\n<h3>5 Interesting Learnings:<\/h3>\n<h3>#1.\u00a0 $100k+ Customers Up 6%<\/h3>\n<p>Overall customer count is flat, but PagerDuty is driving its 825 $100k+ customers up 6%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/investor.pagerduty.com\/news\/news-details\/2024\/PagerDuty-Announces-Third-Quarter-Fiscal-2025-Financial-Results\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-308098 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.saastr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Screen-Shot-2025-02-03-at-9.19.38-AM.png?resize=1000%2C217&#038;quality=70&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"217\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.saastr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Screen-Shot-2025-02-03-at-9.19.38-AM-980x213.png 980w, https:\/\/www.saastr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Screen-Shot-2025-02-03-at-9.19.38-AM-480x104.png 480w\" data-sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1000px, 100vw\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1000px;
